Opportunity for Undergrads

HABIBMETRO believes in developing the human capital and hence encourages current students and young graduates to become a part of the bank through the internship program. The internship program helps the students to get familiar with the corporate environment and decide the right career for themselves. It will help them in selecting the career that matches their ability and interest. The interns get the opportunity to work with the professional employees in the respective field and understand the business activities through regular tasks and assessments.

We offer two types of internships

General

The general internship can be offered anytime during a year with a duration of a minimum of four weeks and a maximum of six weeks in the selected area of interest. The eligibility criteria for the general internship is that the candidate should be the student of the final year of bachelor’s or master’s from the HEC recognized university and must have a minimum of 2.5 CGPA or not less than 50% from matric to graduation.

Year-Around Project Based

It is a project-based internship that is offered once a year for a period of a minimum of six weeks and a maximum of eight weeks. The students of the final year of Bachelors or Masters from HEC recognized institutions are eligible for this internship with the minimum CGPA of 3.0.

Opportunity for Fresh Graduates

Management Trainee

HABIBMETRO attracts and develops young, potential talent so that they become part of the future leadership. To meet the talent need of the bank, we invite applications for MTO programs from across Pakistan for different functional areas including, but not limited to, General Banking, Trade Finance, Credit, Islamic Banking, etc. MTs are hired through rigorous recruitment process.

The Management Trainee Program of HABIBMETRO offers an immense learning exposure to the trainees in different functional areas where one gain hands-on experience through structural training for a year. The trainees will be given both classroom and on-the-job training where they will get support from the senior leaders and supervisors in the challenging work environment. The MT program helps the trainees to grow their careers in their chosen areas. The trainees get the opportunity to work on real business projects and field trips with senior management

In this tenure of learning, the performance of the trainees will be evaluated through continuous feedback along with the mentorship that improves the learning experience of the trainees.

Branch Banking Officer (BBO)

Branch banking is considered to be a core business function of the bank as it deals with the customers directly. However, it requires potential talent who are filled with passion and energy to execute the growth plan of the bank. We employ the fresh graduates as Branch Banking Officer every year and provide them with the training spanning over few months. These trainees are provided with pre-induction training based on both lectures and job training. The training consists of the major functions of general banking along with the regulatory guidelines of the banking laws and regulation, system, policies, and products of the bank. The trainees will be evaluated throughout the training period to assess and prepare them for the future job role and their career.

Trainee Teller

The potential fresh graduates are offered the growth and training opportunity where the bank nurtures them to become branch banking champions. The training will help the trainees in understanding cash handling and managing other branch banking activities. It will not only beneficial for learning cash handling but makes them able to offer effective customer service. The trainees will get hands-on experience and exposure to the job role. The training also helps the teller in enriching the professional skills and progress in the rewarding career. The remarkable performance would help them in getting the opportunity in the field of general banking operations.
